Location

About the area

The apartment is located in the town centre of Paris (1st district) and close to many metro stations. It only takes 2 minutes to get to the metro station "Pyramides", 8 minutes to the train station "Châtelet - Les Halles". It is also very easy to get to the apartment by train / metro from the airport (CDG and Orly) and the main Parisian train stations.

The apartment is located in the district of the Palais-Royal which shelters the Louvre museum. This is one of the most prestigious district of Paris. If the reputation of the most visited museum of the world is not to do, the Palais-Royal is just as exceptional. This treasure of architecture is composed of galleries, a magnificent garden and a palace where the French Comedy resides which is also know as "La Maison de Molière" (Molière's house).

The neighborhood has also become the temple of elegance and refinement. You will find numerous fashion and decoration stores just like under the sumptuous covered ways that are the galleries Véro-Dodat or Vivienne. But also crafted delicatessen, wine bars, cafés and typical French brasseries that make this district one of the nicest to live in.

One can even be surprised at how this district managed to maintain such a peaceful and user-friendly atmosphere in the heart of hectic capital.

Lastly, if you like good products, do not miss the Saint-Honoré market which is held every Wednesdays (12:30pm to 8:30pm) and Saturdays (7am to 3pm). They have excellent products !

“Perfect Location, Nice Flat”

Two of us stayed 28 days in the Opera flat, the location was perfect and the flat was large enough for us to live comfortably. The flat was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The flat is located 5 minutes from the Louvre and a short walk to two Metro stations. Giovanni and Aurelien were great to work with; everything went very smoothly. I highly recommend this flat and would rent it again.

“Great location”

Our family, with 2 teenage boys, spent a few days in the Opera flat. Great location and very convenient - close to key museums, Opera house, Printemps & Lafayette departmental stores and other Paris prime landmarks. Place was clean, wonderful bakery across the street and metro around the corner. Would certainly recommend this place.

“Very professional”

Very clean, great location, very professional as well. We left our iPad and arranged for them to drop it off a few days later when we were back in town. No problem!

Questions and answers

1. What does the "1st floor" mean in France ?
In Paris, the ground floor of buildings is very often dedicated to shops or shared parts such as letter boxes or dustbins. The first floor therefor is situated above the ground floor, the equivalent of the second floor in the United States ! Thus, the windows of the flats situated on the first floor will not be facing the pavement.

2. Do the windows of the apartment give on to the street ?
Yes, it’s possible to see the street from the window.

3. Are the windows double-glazed ?
Yes, they are well insulated and efficiently protect you from any intrusive outside noise.

4. Does the apartment have a dryer ?
No, however it does have a washing machine equipped with a very fast spin cycle and you’ll dispose of a laundry rack to hang things out.

5. Is there closet space for putting clothes away ?
Yes, the apartment has adequate closet space to store your clothes and suitcases. Isn’t it nice to know you’ll be neatly installed ?
