After a really exceptional "rentree" in September, from a cultural standpoint, especially as far as the Césanne, Giacommeti and the Stein's collection exhibits are concerned, Paris is now ready for end of year festivities. The Champs Elysees will be lit up in the evening as early as mid-November, for the passerby’s greatest pleasure, and the windows of the famous department stores will be decorated for Christmas for young and old to marvel at.
So, why don’t you come too, and share this wonderful atmosphere on the banks of the Seine ? Even though most of our apartments (except the Saint-Paul le Marais apartment) are booked up for New Year’s, there is still availability in December and in particular, at Christmas. Experience this enchantingly unique time of year, whether it be with your loved one or your family.
As I do each month, I now let you in on the latest cultural events along with a delicious recipe for chocolate mousse.

Situated two steps away from the Champs-Elysées in a magnificent townhouse is the Jacquemart-André Museum; it will be showing for several months, an exhibition dedicated to one of the major figures of Quattrocento : Fra Angelico. There are 25 major works of this Italian artist “of rare and perfect talent” as Vasari complemented, illustrating his composition of perspective and representation of the human figure.
One year after the exhibition consecrated to Manet was crowned with such great success, the Grand Palais once again hosts a grandiose Fall event of the Parisian cultural sphere : the Stein family possesses one of the most exceptional collections of modern art throughout the world and it is presented here for you to contemplate. Among principle works to be found are canvases by Matisse, Cézanne, Picasso or then again, Renoir…
Invented in the 19th century by the French artist Toulouse-Lautrec, chocolate mousse is today one of the favorite desserts of small and tall. It can be made with liquid cream, but I prefer replacing this by whipped egg whites for lightness (to make the mousse more digestible). The only hard part will be to let it sit in the refrigerator the whole night long, so that it can firm up.
