The booking process is very simple and fast. As soon as you have selected an apartment and that I have confirmed to you its availability according to your trip to Paris, I invite you to follow the validation steps. With ParisFlatRent, you can confirm your reservation in a few minutes only.
All of our flats are maintained with great care to insure a high level of satisfaction from our customers (consult our guest-book to read their comments) and make sure our company will last through out time. The walls are freshened every two years and our mattresses are regularly replaced to make your sleep comfortable.
You also need to know that to make sure you get a realistic view of our flats, the pictures of the website are updated every year! You will thus find for each flat, underneath the pictures, the date on which they were taken. One of our biggest satisfaction is to hear customers say : "Everything is like the picture" !
All my flats are insured for holiday rental. The insurance covers for the apartment along with all the lodger's goods in case of a disaster (explosion, water damage, fire, etc). Furthermore, it will take in charge rental liabilities and any claims made by neighbors.
On arrival, a security deposit (check or cash accepted) of an amount equivalent to 150 euros (all currencies accepted) will be asked in order to insure equipments and furniture during your stay. It will only be paid in if the lodger has caused any damage. If the cost of damages exceeds the security deposit, the lodger is committed to settle the loss after inventory of fixtures. In return, ParisFlatRent is committed to prove the necessity of the said amount for the reconditioning of the accommodation.
To validate your booking, an account of 30% of the total cost of rental fee must be paid either by transfer or Paypal. Full settlement of rental fee (70%) must be paid when keys of flat are delivered, in cash, in EUROS exclusively.
CAUTION : We do not accept credit cards. For important amounts, we advise you to withdraw a part of the sum in euros before departure. Withdrawals are sometimes limited to 500 euros per day.
When you proceed to the account payment (30% of rental fee) by bank transfer or Paypal, any bank fee due to this operation will be at your expense. For international transfers, the amount charged by your bank will be around 20 dollars for this transaction. For Paypal, the costs are systematically calculated the following way and must be added to the total amount : 3.9% + 0.25 euros cents per transaction.
Since 2004, I have welcomed hundreds of lodgers in my furnished flats. On this website, created in March 2009, you will find testimonials and comments from former lodgers in my guestbook. Do not hesitate to contact them to insure yourself of my professionalism and irreproachable quality of ParisFlatRent's services.
There is no minimum/maximum length for a rental in my flats. For very short stays (less than 5 nights), rates indicated per night can be increased in order to compensate fix cleaning costs. Consult the detailed price list of every apartment to know the exact cost of rent for your vacation rental depending on the time of your stay in Paris. Please note that from two weeks onwards, you will benefit from preferential rates, graded according to the length of your stay in Paris.
You are free to arrive or leave any day of the week (7D/7), week-end included. I will always be there to welcome you, even on Sunday, whatever time you might arrive (read the following arrival and departure time limit).
The rental starts at noon and ends at the latest at 11pm on the last day indicated on your contract. The handing in of keys will be done at the apartment, at the time chosen by the lodger (no restrictions), in accord with the above conditions. You can of course arrive later (even late at night) and/or leave earlier on day of departure. I will always be there to welcome you and share good tips and addresses in order to make your stay in Paris a success. In the event of an early departure, I will proceed to the administrative formalities with you the evening before (inventory of fixtures, remittance of security deposit, etc). Leave the keys in the flat and close the door when you go.
If however, you wished to arrive earlier or leave later than the time indicated, we will find a solution convenient for everyone.
No, ParisFlatRent guarantees fix prices all year around whatever the season. Furthermore, no hidden tax or supplementary expenses will be asked on arrival. Contrary to other websites, you will not suffer bad surprises with ParisFlatRent.
No ! ParisFlatRent insures your booking as soon as the rental contract as been sent. When your "Final agreement" as been received, your apartment will be retained for 4 days to enable you to return the contract and proceed to the account payment.
In return, we will ask of you to respect your engagement and not make any other bookings on different competitors sites once you have blocked one of our apartments.
From every train station or Parisian airport, I drew up for you the advised way to get to the flat with public transports (train, bus, underground). You will find this transport guide for each apartment on the left hand side column of the website.
On average, from the moment your plane lands in Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport (CDG) count three hours to get to your flat. If this time seems excessive - the trip doesn't take more than an hour with public transport to get to the center of Paris - experience shows that administrative formalities at the airport (getting off the plane, retrieving luggages, customs check, access to the train station, etc.) are usually long, in particular for international flights.
If you arrive from Orly airport, a similar amount of time will be needed to get to your flat. If you'd rather take a taxi you can save up to 20 minutes on this estimation, except on rush hours (from 8h30am till 19h30pm) where it can take longer than the estimated time! Favor public transports if you're not too tired of course...
Whatever time you may arrive, I will always be there to welcome you personally in my flats. I will handover the keys before presenting the equipments and how they work (Internet, telephone, television, stove, etc). Other major assets of short term rental with direct owner, I will share with great pleasure my good addresses in the district (restaurants, closest supermarket, etc) and will give numerous practical informations to make a success of this Parisian trip (tips for public transports, exhibitions, etc.).
Any cancellations done 2 months previous your set arrival will be reimbursed 50% of the account when booking (or 15% of total rental cost). The bank or PayPal charges to this refund are at the lodgers expense. Pass this limit, the account will be entirely paid in by ParisFlatRent.
You can easily subscribe a travel insurance (cancellation, medical assistance) to the following address : http://www.mondial-assistance.com
For better understanding, all rates are tax included, and cover for your water, electricity and heating consumption along with the cleansing of apartment after your departure.
No ! In France, the VAT is not applicable for holiday rentals who don't propose - like ParisFlatRent - breakfast or daily cleaning. You won't be paying any VAT on your rental fee which is therefor tax included.
Alas, pets, even the smallest ones, are not allowed in my apartments for hygienic reasons and also to prevent possible allergies from other lodgers.
Linen, washed and ironed (!) will be handed over on your arrival. You will find bed sheets, towels for every lodger, hand wipers, etc. For stays superior to two weeks, the entire linen will be replaced every fortnight.
You will find close to every apartment, a self service laundrette. Safe, clean and economical, you will be able to wash and dry your clothes in less than two hours. To find out about the exact spot, I invite you to look it up on the on the Google localization Map that I've created for you.
Like many Parisian flats, most of our holiday rentals are not equipped with an air-conditioning system. Only the the Marais apartment is equipped. However, given the climate and temperatures of Paris, the use of air-conditioning is not necessary even in summer. To know more about the weather in Paris, I invite you to consult our section Paris Weather. In any case, a fan is at your disposal in each flat.
In Paris, the ground floor of buildings is very often dedicated to shops or shared parts such as letter boxes or dustbins. The first floor therefor is situated above the ground floor, the equivalent of the second floor in the United States ! Thus, the windows of the flats situated on the first floor will not be facing the pavement.

Consult the calendars of my nine apartments to know the available nights. The schedules are automatically updated to allow you to pick immediately your holiday rental.
Consult one of our standard rental contracts. At the time of your reservation, you will receive a copy in English or French filled in with your contact details and selected flat details.
“The apartment was perfect, cheaper and roomier than a hotel with a cozy and comfortable bed too. Believe me, for this price, a hotel is a complete waste of money.”
